Star student Samuel Tikare recently took part in the prestigious Future Chef Regional Finals competition against six other schools.
The judging criteria was very demanding, with the young chefs producing a main and dessert. They were judged on workmanship, taste, presentation and creativity.
After an intense two hours working in an extremely hot kitchen the dishes were displayed for the judges, all of whom came from different high-end restaurants across London.
Samuel did RGTS proud, producing two incredible dishes fit to grace any table. He did not win on this occasion, but his well presented plates demonstrated the extent of his considerable talent.
His aromatic duck breast was particularly singled out for praise, and Samuel was strongly encouraged to pursue his dream of being a top chef.
